Introduction to Yoga for Golfers
8 Lessons
~ Have you ever experienced back pain after a round of golf?
~ Are you just stiff all over?
~ Have you struggled with balance when you are swinging from the rough?
What if stretching could improve your whole game?
In Yoga for Golfers we focus on increasing your torso rotation by 20-40% to improve your swings accuracy and distance. These stretches help to prevent back injuries and pain while golfing. We also practice poses that involve balance to improve your weight transfer during the backswing and follow through as well as assist you on uneven terrain when the ball doesn’t land on the fairway.
Not only will you feel more limber, but strengthening your core will provide you with more power in your swing. Increasing your mobility and flexibility will reduce your risk of injury and recovery time allowing you to play better, longer, with more confidence and even more enjoyment of the game.
Introduction to Yoga for Golfers is a great class for students who enjoy any sport that involves a swinging motion: baseball, tennis, pickleball or racquet ball, just to name a few. This class is a Beginner Yoga class so don't worry if you aren't very flexible :)
This program will begin to stretch your back, chest and arms while strengthening your legs, back and core. Improving your mobility and strength will take your golf game to a new level, ultimately taking strokes off your game!!
You will also learn a breathing technique to calm your mind before you tee off helping to achieve a state of focus and calm.
